Only days after the Russian Duma passed a law banning gay “propaganda” that severely restricts the speech and assembly of LGBTQ Russians and their allies, a coalition of prominent anti-gay activists from France and the United States gathered in Moscow for a meeting to discuss Russian laws governing adoption by same-sex couples. Among them was National Organization for Marriage president Brian Brown.

As Right Wing Watch reports, Brown had previously worked closely with the anti-gay movement in France to fight the country’s marriage equality legislation (their efforts ultimately failed, and marriage equality is now the law of the land in France), and was now being summoned to Moscow to help shape Russian policy around gay adoption:

How America’s right wing helped Russia craft its anti-gay laws - Salon.com
Well, at least France got it right. Swine is swine and even they seek kindred spirits, so it is no small wonder that radical right wing idiots found their equally radical Russkie counterparts.

If wingnuts had their way the same bigoted oligarchy running that country would be running this one. Wingnuts hate freedom and civil liberty, what they really seek is control.

They must be very powerful to influence a whole country. LOL I think Russia had their own views on homosexuality long before this year.

The leftist fanatics' usual obsession with imaginary conspiracy theories bring up some interesting possibilities this time.

Wouldn't it be convenient if Russia really did try to get advice from conservatives (about as likely as Obama seeking advice from conservatives, and for the same reason)?

Then when the leftist fanatics in the U.S. use Russia as a pattern for their own agenda (again), they would actually be adopting conservative themes!

It's about as likely as your getting hit by lightning... but still, it would be a ironic circumstance.

Which speaks volumes as to how insecure and weak they actually are. Anyone with a healthy sense of self-worth does not have the rabid need to control others or to meddle. Pathetic souls, really.

I don't know what is funnier. a link to a left wing terrorist site like salon, or liberals claiming that the politicians they elect aren't after power or control.

did you guys get a free toaster with your ideals?

Which one of us said that?

Many politicians are as equally greedy for power as the others?
