He's an establishment crony. The worst kind of Republican. Ironically, this is the type of self serving prick the media and democrats like. More proof that they don't ever want DC cleaned up.

The 'Deal' has $3 billion in pork. McConnell's dam came out pretty good. But heck, what's 3 billion more.

Why do they always cram pork in every Bill they pass.

Its the establishment way. This country is cooked. Sooner or later, our spending of money we don't have is going to cost us BIG. They can kick this can down the road again and again, but its going to eventually catch up with us. Who loses then? All of us.

This is just an authorization for a cost overrun by the Army Corps of Engineers that has already happened.

McCaskill: Olmsted cost overruns 'outrageous, inexcusable' : News

Anyhow, the language included was only an increase in the authorization, not an appropriation. It's not the same thing.

Democrats like Mitch McConnell? I guess we do in the conservative alternative reality, but in the real world we don't.

Don't forget the rich widow of a very, very rich politician....she needed the 174K:

Spending bill gives $174K to millionaire senator's widow

The widows' payments are part of a long-standing and routine practice of Congress. But this payment is drawing scrutiny because of Lautenberg's wealth: His estimated net worth was at least $56.8 million in 2012
