Shoulda listened to Ted Cruz.......

Is Obamacare in a Death Spiral? - Bloomberg

Time to panic? No. But it’s time to prepare to panic. It sounds like the earliest anyone is projecting fixes is sometime in the middle of November. That’s the time when it absolutely has to work -- and if it doesn’t, we should panic.

We will soon find out whether it's in a "Death Spiral" or not. The real question is ...... will Obama now beg for a "Delay" after causing a Shut Down because he wouldn't accept a "Delay" that would have saved his bacon?

That should be amusing.

First of all, we now have two technical problems,” Bacon began. “The website wasn’t working great and, my understanding from people I talked to is, right now the phone site isn’t working well as well either.”

“When you go on to call and dial in, you are often are told to wait a long time or call back later,” he added. “So, nothing really working perfectly.”

Fixes to HealthCare.gov is not ACA ("Obamacare"). Please tell me you know there is a difference?

That's ok. Imagine if they took over health care:

The hospitals and clinics aren't working perfectly, they mostly don't work, because we can't figure out how to buy stuff and get things done when they need to be done. Don't worry, it won't matter, because we can't figure out how to get enough doctors to work in them, either.

Sure do. Healthcare.gov is a website. It's just the smallest and easiest part of the monstrosity to get working. Making 300 million Americans comply with stupid laws... Much, MUCH harder.

That should tell you that the ACA seems to be very popular...Millions want to inquire so I think a bit of patience may be in order.

It wouldn't surprise me if many teabagger types were trying to log on the web site or phone lines trying to sabotage the whole thing....

Megan McArdle has been making a living writing opinion pieces opposing the ACA. Medicare which should be called Republicare could also be considered in a death spiral. The ACA is means tested while Medicare isn't. Medicare sucks at least 300 billion out of general revenue while the ACA is arguably revenue neutral. If you are on Medicare are you aware that Medicare part B actually costs about $400 and not the $100 that you are paying? Heck the shutdown could have been over Medicare if someone was really concerned about the deficit.
