Stop with the "single payer" "single payer" "single payer"...

It is getting old.

What I hear when you and others parrot this over and over is "socialism" "socialism" "socialism".

Not gonna happen in our lifetimes and hopefully never.

When they say 'single payer', they mean Republicans pay for Democrats' health care costs.

I don't think that's what that means.

But I got to say to all you right wingers, you're alternative health care plan is really attractive to many Americans. If only I could remember what it was.

Oh right, now I remember, your plan is:

How could America possibly not wholeheartedly embrace that and the party that came up with it?

lol

Really?

Not ONE republican voted for it.

Nancy pelosi, acorn and the unions fashioned it behind closed doors, threatened the dems who wouldn't go along, shoved it down our throats, lied about it, the SCOTUS changed the law from a "fine" to a "tax", Obama illegally gave cut outs and exemptions and they delayed the employer mandate for a year (until after the 2014 elections) illegally and you're blaming republicans?

Mitt Romney did it in a state, which is failing by the way and legal.

Who said that?

You quoted it so I assume that you know who said it. Do you have a link?

Anyway, why does the Govt HAVE to have a plan for healthcare? Why is Govt the ONLY answer?

Get the Govt OUT of our personal lives. Good grief.

Government is the only organization that can ensure everyone has access to health care and that everyone is covered.

I don't blame republicans. I blame democrats for trying to extend an olive branch to the right with Robomneycare and its pseudo market mechanism. We should have expanded Medicare and strived for a single payer system when we had both houses, in opposition to crafting this abomination.
I agree with that; however, when it was clear that an ACA-like plan would not attract any Republican support, the Democrats should have passed a more liberal bill. Instead, they went ahead with the ACA, so the blame for that lies with them. Also, Romney, who created the blueprint for Obamacare, was the Republican standard-bearer in 2012, but it's worth mentioning that according to the polls only one-third of Republicans actually wanted Romney to be the nominee.

You are confusing health insurance with health care. Everyone has access to health care in the USA. Tell me, who in the USA doesn't have access to health care services?

Health care insurance is money. Health care is service.

I can see your confusion, you think that health care would be equally distributed if everyone has health care insurance. Remember that when to your amazement, it isn't Bradgelina in the next bed at the hospital.

Let me ask you something pretty simple. If car insurance is required, how is it that one has the option to pay for uninsured motorist coverage? I mean, didn't the government require everyone buy car insurance? You mean there is a loophole for some people? How is that possible?

Just how is it that a state (say, California) passed a law allowing people in the country illegally to obtain a driver license without requiring them to also have insurance? Don't they have to go into a government facility to get the license? I know, none of them will drive their own cars, they will always rent or borrow them and those cars will have insurance huh?
