There seems to be a controversy on this message board and MSNBC as to whether President Obama lied when he said, again and again, "If you like your insurance plan, you can keep it. Period."
This is the one Whopper that this President will not be able to talk himself out of. People know deception when they hear it. They heard it loud in clear when he started making the "keep your insurance/keep your doctor" claim.....they hoped he was right.....but their worst fears came true. He's a liar, through and through. The emperor has no clothes.

Some will continue to drink the Jim Jones kook-aid. FancyFeast5000 is first in line lol
Otherwise Obama would never have been elected back in 2008, and certainly not in 2012.
Good point, but a huge reason Obama won both times was the lapdog media. They are still covering for him, but even the leftists in the media can't ignore the cataclysmic effects of the ACA.

I agree with you overall. But I think that most of his voters were simply able to overlook the lies in order to make themselves feel good about electing the first (half) black President. This is especially true for Guilty White Liberals and Guilty White Independents. They overlooked the obvious on purpose.

If everyone on this forum voted, it would probably be a 50/50 split. However, I think some of our friends on the left don't want their names up there until the "no" option. They know it's embarrassing to say he didn't lie.
Congrats to FancyFeast for his honesty. It takes integrity to admit to believing anything a politician says.
Millions sounds like a lot but when you consider that those millions represent 3% of the insured population... a big lie it don't make.
"...much of the current controversy involves the six per cent of Americans who buy their own health care on the individual market, which the A.C.A. has dramatically reformed. Gruber argued that half of these people (three per cent of all Americans) will have little change to their polices. “They have to buy new plans, but they will be pretty similar to what they had before,” he said. “It will essentially be relabeling.”'
