Might as well arm all burger flippers. What could go wrong wit that?
TSA agents are low paid, many are part time. Will they be paid more and given training?

actually many of the TSA agents ARE armed (usually level G and above)(equal to a GS11)

its the TSA SCREENERS that currently are not armed (usually level D) (equal to a GS5 or GS7)

These are two completely different occupations. Armed TSA agents have much different hiring standards than TSOs. They're almost at the same level as an treasury agents or some other level of Federal law enforcement. This is like comparing a state trooper to a meter maid.

but that's the point

the TITLE of the THREAD by the OP, says agents............................the TSO are screeners not agents

a TSO is a level D....makes 25-40k

most of the AGENTS (ie canine, cargo, etc) are level F, G, H (and higher) and are REQUIRED to be armed
