One thing that Obama opposes vigorously is 34 more times popular than the "signature achievement" that he championed. Go figure. Should we believe Obama when he says if you like your guns you can keep them?

Yes, many Americans would rather spend their money on hobbies, vacations, toys, cars, big screen TVs etc as opposed to insurance. It is called personal irresponsibility, which seems to be what many politicians are promoting these days. The problem is that when they need medical care, they walk into ER and force other people to pay for their care.

Like all personally responsible people, I have always maintained insurance.

However, the leftists that want to force other people pay for Obamacare so some people can get a free ride are singing a completely different tune.

And, just as many as you say don't pay, how many do pay?

Like all personally responsible people, I have always maintained insurance, and paid my ER bills....

I consider owning a firearm another form of Health Insurance. I also support the idea, but not the current implementation, of a Universal Insurance, or preferably, care, System. The private sector medical, pharmaceutical and insurance system has looted the US citizenry for far too long and we really need to institute price controls in the form of government price bargaining.

Interesting that there is a 40% decrease in background checks between Jan - Sept. Maybe people are saving for health insurance.

During the spring and summer there was NOTHING on the shelves. Inventory was at a all time low after the proposed gun legislation in late Dec/early Jan. Only now are things starting to stabilize.
