Chuck's claim that "Obamacare is unraveling," is premature and represents his own wishful thinking wet dream. Obamacare has bumps in te road but it doesn't mean that the unpaved road that preceded it was superior.
Those that have been able to get insurance through the exchanges are largely satisfied.
Liberal policies ended slavery in the country; liberal policies gave women the right to vote; liberals were responsible for civil rights; liberals created the New Deal that grew the middle class; liberals created Social Security and Medicare that brought seniors out f poverty.
Where were conservatives? Opposing them on every one of those issues.
Conservatives opposed slavery, supported women rights, etc. You are forgetting Democrats were for slavery and against women's rights, etc. More Republicans than Democrats voted for the Civil rights and voting rights acts of 1964.
I think intelligent people do oppose Social Security. It was essentially Ponzi scheme that benefited the first contributers but has the years roll on it is going broke and the young generations will not get their money. We could be getting a greater return on our money in a private investment plans than social security offers, as well.
ObamaCare is a disaster and really the best thing to happen for Republicans in years. He lied repeatedly to sell the plan, and it is funny the best selling point about the plan is people could keep their company plan if they like it. Which kind of indicates O-Care wasn't even necessary.
So we are now in another period of Obama conservatism after 8 years of reckless gubbermint spending from Bush. The Medicare, Defense and VA recipients are still at the public trough after Bush's eight years of socialism. Want to find someone on a gubbermint handout?? Check out the Tea Party..
Obama has made Bush look like a miser. No Obama supporter can criticize Bush for spending too much, with credibliy.
Most welfare recepients are Democrat voters. That's why you are the party of the poor, right?
I never thought of that ... now I understand that the FDR/Truman years were conservative (c. 1932 - 1950) , followed by 8 years of Eisenhower liberalism which in turn was followed by the conservative Kennedy/Johnson years.

We are forced to pay payroll taxes so why would it be wrong for me to claim medicare? I'm paying into the system, against my will.
I and most Republicans are not against some help for the truly poor. I don't think government should be involved in retirement savings though, if I can invest my money more intelligently.

What blacks in Miss vote for a Republican black presidential candidate? That is biggest question.
Obama supports partial birth abortion and even post-birth abortion in one bill in Illinois. So a liberal black man is def. not going to win in a socially conservative state.
The civil war is in the past. The parties have changed over the decades though. And now the south is mostly republican and racist.
A correction here: I lived in the south area for a few years. Every single racist that I ever met voted Democrat.
