North Texas Drivers Stopped at Roadblock Asked for Saliva, Blood | NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

These are the things that help to create conspiracy theories. Even if their excuse is the truth, it doesn't sound legal.

Nothing voluntary about it.

Breathalyzer was working even before she was even given a chance to consent which followed the clandestine testing.

This is the second or third time this "isolated incident" has occurred.
The Fed Dept of Transportation is doing a 3 year study so expect more "isolated incidents".

And the Fed agency asked for local LE's to help but "off duty" officers, not "on the clock".
The Feds don't care about upsetting the local populace; they never have.
The local LE is stuck with dealing with the backlash from their residents for which they are not responsible.

Just like the DHS/TSA showing up at random Amtrak stations and doing "training exercises" with us.

Default Pull over, we want your blood and DNA

Just say "NO!"

It isn't complicated.

They make it very uncomfortable for you to say "No" and don't let you go on your way.
Saying "No" now makes you suspect to "hiding something".

I have been subject to border patrol pull overs for nearly 15 years.
How they did it in 1995 is not even remotely close to how they did it last year.

Think "you are guilty until you prove your innocence" when you come up to these "voluntary" pull overs.

I'd simply tell them "no" and be on my way.

It would be interesting to see if they'd follow in pursuit.

I've been passing through border patrol checkpoints for over 30 years.

Never been hassled, never been delayed.

I'm pretty boring.

It doesn't surprise me that this would happen in Texas, given the number of idiots there. Maybe it's good the government is trying to identify the DNA gone wrong in the state's population. If I were stopped and asked to submit to this sort of "survey" or "study," I'd decline and go about my business. But Texans are like trained mice and do what they're told, even if what they're told is wrong. Just look at the foothold the American-Taliban has in Texas. Let's cull the heard, though. Identify and segregate them ... for the sake of a better America!
