I don't get a flu shot because I believe the immune system is like other body systems. Much like you lose muscle ability due to atrophy, the immune system is far more then your antibodies. Exercise it or lose it and be reliant on medication.

Yeah I have never gotten the flu shot. I also don't use bacterial wipes or antibiotics. Humans are so concerned about bacteria they've basically left themselves open to infection. I don't get grossed out by stories of "Look what we found on your purse!!!". Big deal, bacteria is a fact of life.

There are plenty of other less intensely virulent bugs out there that will give your immune system enough of a workout.

although i agree in theory, it should be pointed out that flu are caused by viruses, not bacteria.
