Brain biopsy will hopefully show that some people just shouldn't play with the voodoo pharma...

I don't get a flu shot because I believe the immune system is like other body systems. Much like you lose muscle ability due to atrophy, the immune system is far more then your antibodies. Exercise it or lose it and be reliant on medication.

Yeah I have never gotten the flu shot. I also don't use bacterial wipes or antibiotics. Humans are so concerned about bacteria they've basically left themselves open to infection. I don't get grossed out by stories of "Look what we found on your purse!!!". Big deal, bacteria is a fact of life.

I got it once and the same year got the flu.
Never got it since and never had the flu since.

Fluke ? Coincidence ?
Who knows but that made me leery enough to never get it again.

Would you have your children skip things like the Polio vaccine and inoculations like the DPT vaccine?

No. But what was the mortality rate of polio vs the flu?

There are plenty of other less intensely virulent bugs out there that will give your immune system enough of a workout.

I give up.

What?

And personally I believe illnesses that can leave you debilitated for life are far worse than death.

All I know is I had a severe case of the flu when I was about 19 that would have me wondering if I could survive a similar case at 60+.

although i agree in theory, it should be pointed out that flu are caused by viruses, not bacteria.
