This man is undeserving of being a pastor or doing anything in his god's name. What a disgrace.
I didn't read it, but I'm guessing this is "plea bargain" stuff at work.

If the prosecution was so willing to cut this deal, one has to wonder exactly what strength of case they had...

I do not think the system is broken, but in this case something needs to be done. As a Christian, I am totally appalled. Not that everyone isn't but it is things like this, that give others food to attack with. I wish someone would take him and hang him up by the you know what!!!!!

So, are you saying Christians or more particularly Pastors are bad people? I find this totally insulting to be honest. A few bad apples, doesn't make the entire group bad. This could be said about any group, blacks, whites, gays, atheists, fat people, skinny people, people on welfare, whatever. isn't it pretty judgmental to make a statement like you are making?

No, what I believe they're saying is it's no surprise that a pastor of all people would be involved in something like this due to the reputation pastors, especially Catholic pastors, have built up over time.

At least that's what I'm drawing from it.

I would like to think you are right, but I am not sure. I hope they were not saying what I think they were.

May have just been the judge. There was a story a few weeks back about some teacher who slept with a kid who then killed herself and he got 30 days. Then there was that woman Letourneau who slept with a 12 year old and got 6 months, got out, and then slept with him again.

Point is the pastor in the article is a disgrace and ought to face jail time for his crimes. Now these boys who were molested by him have to deal with that for the rest of their lives while he gets to enjoy his freedom and live with the fact that he destroyed their lives.

Too bad he's going to avoid prison- he could have helped his cellies get rid of BUCKETS of evil spirits!
He's lucky stupidity isn't illegal, he'd be facing life.
