And there you have the very heart of conservatism, ladies and gentlemen.

If you're not born rich, smart or strong, die.

I think most are okay with helping people that really can't take care of themselves. It's the unwilling where people object.

People are just too damn comfortable on welfare. If you gave them enough food to stay alive with no luxuries, they might just get off of their asses.

California used to have a robust, free, occupational training program, I learned to weld via the classes. When Grey Davis was elected the state teacher's union demanded the program be dismantled due to the union's inability to organize the teachers in that program, and of course, Ahnold did not have the spine to reinstate those classes, even though he championed such a system in his campaigns. I can remember around 1996, 1997 you could find on any given night in San Diego, a free state run class on web site design, welding, auto repair, furniture making and many more all designed to make you employment worthy in those fields.

Who, exactly, are these people who "can't obtain the competency"?

Quote:
It's not union jobs (as evident by their dislike of unions)
If you're incompetent, why should you be holding a high paid union job?

It's not decently-paid factory jobs (as evident by support of outsourcing)
Huh? If you're incompetent, how can you be in production?

Quote:
It's not a higher minimum wage (as evident by suggestion of the elimination of minimum wage)
How does forbidding hiring at your competency level help someone get a job?

Quote:
It's not additional working hours either (as evident by the restriction due to health insurance benefits)
Raising the cost of hiring NEVER helps those on the bottom rung.

Quote:
It's not a better job market (as evident by rampant illegal immigration and offering of amnesty)
Better job markets are a result of low costs, high profit margins.

Quote:
It's not cheaper housing (as evident by building codes that say a house must be x square feet large)
Lastly, it's not welfare.
What, exactly, does house size have to do with getting a job?

If things get bad enough it won't be difficult to vote for socialist.
Well, I do see the connection between incompetence and voting socialist, but I doubt you were trying to point that out.

My Prince! You have arrived at last! I can't tell you how fed up I've been with life out here working at the Thrifty Mart on the midnight to 8am graveyard shift for minimum wage. But you are obviously a man of substance who can support his wife in the manner in which she longs to become accustomed to. How many kiddies do you want? I'd like at least 6, and naturally they'll have the best of everything with YOU at the helm! Where do you live? Where-ever it is, I'll relocate. I'm slender, been told that I look pretty cute and I live to vacumn a 10,000 sq ft McMansion and fix you all your favorite meals. I've also been known to greet my man at the door dressed in saran wrap. DM me, Baby!!

The Republican solution is for you to work for as little as possible because it boosts profits and the lower you make the more jobs there will be for everyone so unemployment will be low and then you can pay consumption taxes that go to pay for the companies' infrastructure and transferrable tax credits (subsidies) to make sure your jerb is secure.

Also, the lack of education and innovation that Republicans offer will delay the eventual take over by robots.
