It seems that Republicans focus on the needs of corporations as oppose to the average everyday American. It’s amazing that some people cannot see that.

There is a trend here:

Republicans on Global Warming: It does not exist because if it did than we would have to seek alternative fuels and that would adversely affect our buddies in the oil industry. We don’t need fuel efficient cars either. That would also hurt profits. Lets drill.

Republicans on Health care: We don’t need this plan because it will take away the massive profits from our buddies in the private health insurance sector. Let’s drill.

Republicans on taxes: We don’t need to give American citizens tax cuts. Give tax cuts and subsidies to corporations so that we can increase profits. We will just lie to the base and tell them that this will create more jobs. But in reality we will just ship their jobs overseas. Let’s drill.

Republicans on War: How much profit can we make if we attack this country in the name of terror? Remember we must pretend that we care about the soilders in order for this to work. Lets drill.

Republicans on cigarettes: It’s a personal matter, besides our buddies in the tobacco industry are reaping heavy profits every year. Lets focus on drilling.

See a trend here. Republicans ride in the passenger seat with big corporations. They despise the little guy.

The truly one-dimensional party:

Dems on Global Warming: Surrender Your Money

Dems on Health Care: Surrender Your Money

Dems on Taxes: Surrender Your Money

Dems on Cigarettes: Surrender Your Money

Dems on War: Surrender Our Country

4 more years of Republicans, and we would have "drilled" ourselves into the deepest depression in our nation's history!

To be fair, a lot of Democrats are also corporate shills.

That said, there's no doubt in my mind that most Republicans will do, or say just about anything to protect the companies and lobbyists first, and ordinary people second.

I always thought the "drill baby drill" crowd just didn't 'get it.' Here we are on the verge of finding more reliable and practical sources for renewable energy and these guys just want to focus on fossil fuels. I can't remember who said this quote, but I thought it summed it up best: "Drill baby drill is like promoting more typewriters during the beginning of the PC era, it just doesn't make sense."

For a more correct analogy: we are promoting typewriters while you are offering Eniac word processing. Better keep using the damned typewriter until the PC era arrives, 40 years later.

Uhm

Look at the economy. It was doing just fine until Nancy and Harry took over in 2007.

Think again.

Therefore we are suppose to spend ourselves into the deepest depression?

Cheaper oil saves money, spending money like a fool like Obama cost us money.

Yet another liberal who does not understand money.

Tax cuts in the right place creates new jobs.

Maybe Obama will think about that one since he is now in the HOLE one million jobs when he was going to create 5 million new jobs.

Now he has to create 6 million to break even.

Our economy has not been fine more than 20 years. Or economy was completely fake! Our economy was put on a consumer and government credit card. Ahh, now it's time to pay that bill.

Here's another good idea....let's (stupidly) cut taxes when we are at war How did that work out for ya

You need to look at the big picture. Don't just regurgitate what you heard on the Hannity show from the night before.

So why couldn't republicans find this "right place" for tax cuts the last 8 years? Because Pubs ALWAYS put them in the WRONG PLACE. Pubs feed Americans the trickle down theory that has failed that nobody is slurping anymore. Obama never said create 5 million jobs in 6 months. Those are you bogus inflated numbers.
