You mean the readjustment of figures (usually UP) every time? If you're going to believe the glowing prognostications of the administration then you have to at least agree that they could be wrong based on basic economics.
When you quit propping up something it may very well fall again. This administration seems overly adept at ignoring those pesky unintended consequences as shown over and over again.
Your ignorance is showing.
The adjusted numbers - which are adjusted as any late-arriving data comes in - are sometimes adjusted up and sometimes adjusted down.
Furthermore, the new jobs creation number is pretty much in line with the ADP private payrolls numbers released a couple of days ago.
As usual, you folks are flailing around trying to find some excuse - and excuse - for these excellent numbers.
Ken spent all of 2010 telling us how great the US economy would be by now. Then he disappeared when it became clear that Obama was not saving the world, as Ken expected he would.
Now he's back to try reclaim some of the dignity he lost in those failed proclamations.

The unemployment U3 and U6 numbers are now officially meaningless. If we are looking for an improving economy, 200,000 jobs is not enough to do anything but keep pace with and maintain the current level, and in some months it barely does that. so when 200,000 drops the numbers by three points, it only means our work force is dropping dramatically, or the BLS is cooking manipulating the data.
More silly and ignorant nonsense. It doesn't take anywhere near 200,000 jobs a month to "keep pace".
And yes, the work force IS dropping - it's called "the babyboomers entering their retirement years".
I don't understand though..... we have 101 million working age americans classified as not in the workforce... Could it be that the government is playing games with the numbers???
They aren't working Americans, I think this has been gone through several times. All of America is not "working age," unless you want to abolish child labor laws and retirement benefits.
You want to count retirees, babies, school age kids, and the disabled in the unemployment numbers?
Are they really competing for your job?
