Working age means 16/18 years and older, that means you are counting high schools and college kids who arent looking for a job, people in comas and physically handicapped who couldnt hold a job if they wanted to and people who are retired.

If the unemployment numbers had risen there would be at least 10 threads started already by Conservatives trumpeting the fact. But when the unemployment number falls, it's a meaningless number. You guys are so predictable you're boring.

That sounds like an approach. Go by our gut feelings and consider that the truth instead of facts.

Are they really competing for your job?
Then how many "working" Americans DO we have? 101 million is 32% of the population.

Keep in mind that the current (as of right now) population in this country is 317,194,619

I didn't go anywhere. I'm here periodically and have been all along.
And YES the economy IS a LOT better than it was in 2010 - as is the stock market price and home prices.
The fact that you don't want to ADMIT that, doesn't MAKE IT SO.

You still seem to not understand the jobs numbers.

1. the number that people usually fixate on (204,000 in this case), are the number of jobs created, NOT the number of open jobs available.

2. There are something like 2 million open job positions around this country and when people fill them, unemployment drops.

You seem to be one of those Republicans who would rather thing everyone is lying to you rather than believe a Democrat could actually do anything good. It's sad really.

I didn't offer an approach.

I did offer a warning that the numbers the feds are releasing are very difficult to verify.

BIG difference.

How could you not? Common sense dictates. It's due to the temporary help that gets hired EVERY year. February UE claims will go up, jobs down.

Ken
So adding 75,000 jobs each month will drop the UE rate by a point each month, got it
