Two people were shot in the leg at Denver's Civic Center during Saturday's 4/20 pot rally and a third person was grazed by a bullet.
A man and a woman were both shot, said Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson. Their injuries are not life-threatening. A juvenile who was grazed by a bullet walked to a nearby hospital.
Both victims are in their 20s. They were taken to Denver Health Medical Center.
So some moron goes to a pot rally and shoots people and you blame the pot?
It happened this year. It shows what kind of people are attracted to drugs.
Drunk people shoot others too. You can't make alcohol illegal!! The majority of people that consume cannabis are responsible. I have a question for you,.....how old are you?

I have not suggested making anything illegal. I am happy with the way things are today. Even if most consumers of drugs were responsible, they create a market which is ran by violent criminals. It's a little awkward I have to educate a police officer of such basic things.

Those nations with the least drug problems, have no tolerance and impose the strongest consequences. Public hanging serves as incentive for the masses to avoid drugs and people who buy or sell them. Nations that choose to impose the harshest consequences, do not spend a lot of money on police, court systems or prisons.
Killing someone simply for putting something in their body or for possession is absolutely immoral. But in those countries it's their rules, so whatever! As long as that tyrannical BS stays there!

First of all there are lots of cops, politicians, and judges that realize cannabis needs to be regulated, taxed, and controlled so you can throw that in my face if you would like, however it gives me a chuckle when you do. You are happy with violent cartels receiving profits from illegal cannabis sales? You are happy with more easily available cannabis to kids and teens because cannabis isn't controlled? You are happy with governments at all levels wasting money on enforcement costs, court costs, and incarceration costs?
I know. They keep repeating that drugs are just harmless plants, which never hurt anyone.
Oh please! The major problem today is the growing epidemic of abuse of opiates. I just heard a bit on local radio yesterday on the way home stating that heroin overdoses in the Cleveland area have killed more people this past year than car accidents, and homicides. The ad then went on to say that heroin abuse starts when those who abuse pain killers can no longer get them, and then turn to heroin, because it's cheaper. There was no mention of pot being part of that equation at all!!! So, the problem isn't pot... it's the growing epidemic of heroin, and it's legal cousins such as oxycotin.
I do take a lot of crap from mostly the older police officers in their 50's. They always bring up the old arguments that are filled with propaganda. It's a gateway drug! It will be chaos! Etc. the argument always ends with me destroying their Prohibitionist propaganda and them calling me a 'pothead'! Lol! When the name calling starts flying its clear they have lost the argument.
Yep... pretty much. Have you ever changed any of those older officers thought process? I just don't understand their logic that legalized pot would be chaos? How? Most "potheads" are pretty chill.
