It seems like the most vocal supporters of such overturn are criminals who never obeyed laws in the first place, and they are demanding we make the nation more criminal-friendly. I don't think I am going to support such movement.
I'm a police officer and marijuana needs to legalized and controlled.
It was ended by act of Congress, not by bunch of people committing crimes.
Oh really? Ever hear of speakeasys, or bootleggers? Speakeasys were quite numerous during the years of prohibition. Nevertheless, refusal to obey the laws of prohibition, not to mention the waste of resources used to try to enforce, and the increase in organized crime is the reason WHY Congress ended it. Again, sometimes you have to take a stand, and break the rules, when they're unjust. At any rate Finn, you cannot no matter how hard you try legislate morality. History has proven this! Prohibition does NOT work! And furthermore, we can go round and round about it, but I find it immoral to criminalize millions of Americans, or label them as such for consuming a plant that has been here since the beginning of time!
Yes then there is that hypocrisy too. If we are allegedly fighting a war on drugs, then why are we guarding poppy fields?
There are a lot of high ranking officials in the Afghanistan administration making money from those fields. Outsiders dipping their beaks also. We don't want to upset such people....... do we?

No of course not. Why our government is just so pure and wholesome, they would NEVER think to play both sides of the coin. Damn hypocrites!
