It's always black art forms that are subject to cultural appropriation. He raised a good point. Latin Americans, though they speak Spanish, can't go to Spain and dictate the direction of the country.

Macklemore has been gaining fame and feels he could speak on the behalf on the direction where Hiphop should go.

He has no business telling what other rappers should do.

Rock and Roll was started by blacks. Riffs find their origins in Blues. You obviously don't know music.

I agree with Macklemore, and I like his movement.

It's inevitable that talented white rappers will have a say so in how the music trends in the future...it's not a bad thing for hip hop.

But it's STILL a black art form.

This happened in jazz too. Thankfully, whites have done a wonderful job of helping to preserve the music as so many young blacks have abandoned it.

Rock and Roll has it's origins in both black and white music like Polka but certainly blues has played the largest influence.
