I am not passing out judgements more like pointing out sin and the true forgiveness of sin is through Jesus Christ not the Pope.Coolness gave US 2 terms of Obamanation socialised medicine lets not socialise religion.
When you feel like you are enough of an authority to point out others' sins, that is called..."passing judgment".

And you people always assume anyone who disagrees with you is a non-believer.

Not because he is cool but because he is correct. So to repeat... many of us who not theist are former theist or at least raised long enough within theist societies to have a solid foundation in theism. Aside from our disbelief in the mystical aspects or religion our criticism is based upon theist misuse of theology for political purposes as a result we call theist on the hypocrisy on a regular basis and will continue to. Further we will support this Pope or any other theist who practice in a secular world that which their doctrines command that they advocate. We will disagree with the Pope or any other religious leader when it is called for.

And where did I write in support of the contrary?

Then you are clearly not a proponent of free market capitalism.

And in the next breath you will claim that liberals are all Karl Marx in disguise.

Haha, poor Pope Benedict. The only Pope to quit the position and be remembered for nothing other than red shoes and being a Nazi youth. What does he even do now?

That was atrocious!

We support Pope Francis not because he is "cool" but because he is correct. So to repeat...

Most liberals and most liberals who are atheist - strangely I've never met a conservative atheist - weren't inspired to be liberals by Karl Marx but because in our early life we sat in Sunday school and were taught that JESUS professed love for the poor, to strive for morality rather than wealth, and most importantly, to be concerned about the fate of the least among us. That doesn't mean that all of our ideas are Christ like, but rather that the motivation underlying those ideas are based upon the biblical philosophy in the Bible, old and new, real or fictional, that we are all brothers and sisters and that our love is to be focused upon one another. This is why religious leaders such as John Wesley, Elijah Parish Lovejoy, Martin Luther King, Desmond Tutu and now Pope Francis have such resonance for liberals and atheist alike.

From a personal perspective the Christianity of my Catholic education informs me that this Pope is the first Pope since Pope John John XXIII who actually lives up to the values that I was taught and for that I must applaud him for not only espousing those values but to commit in his own life the values that he espouses. This lack of hypocrisy on the part of Pope Francis stands in stark contrast to Pope Benedict and it is hypocrisy more than any other aspect of religion that leads many atheist to call into question the validity of religion and religious leaders.

So no, it isn't political expediency and certainly not hypocrisy that leads liberals theist and atheist to applaud Pope Francis he is living the life that the CHURCH taught us that we should all live. I just choose to live it without the myths.
