As someone who only buys CFL light bulbs, I think that the government banning a product such as incandescent light bulbs is a sign that the inmates are now running the asylum.
I always buy the energy-efficient bulbs anyway. Otherwise you just waste money on your electric bill.
I prefer the CFL bulbs, especially the ones that emit light in the 6500k spectrum. Not a big fan of the soft white anymore, they're only good for mood lighting, IMO
I wonder if energy efficiency really is good for the economy. It certainly isn't good for coal miners in West Virginia or natural gas drillers in North Dakota.
Can you tell me the difference in an incandescent and halogen light bulb as far as how the light is? Like what difference it will make?
Halogen bulbs are the same exact ones your car's headlights use (of course, except if you drive certain cars that use Xenon bulbs, like Lexus or Lincoln). They are brighter, use less energy, and usually produce a very nice yellow-white light. The same you see on your car
