I think its like the days of newpapers really. Remember when newspapers were even called The ...........Democra/Republican so often. Always been the same except more slanted in past on television because journalist were mostly liberals. Much better today as you get both slants. Have to say local news is just straight news nationally on television; mostly quoted.

How are we supposed to answer this question when every station and news anchor is different?

Where's "all of the above" ?

They've lost credibility and are no longer trustworthy.

I picked political bias because most of the others follow from the consequences of that on both sides of the political spectrum. Poll needs "all of the above" choice.

I would say all of the above.I've said this before in other posts, news shows are more political propaganda shows and the news anchors political preachers, preaching to an audience that only wants to have their political beliefs reinforced.

Both Right and Left slanted news are all that get coverage in this country now. We don't get any honest reporting from any of them. If you want to know what is really happening in the US, you have to go outside the US to get any objective reporting.

Default it's not real news anymore

We don't get news anymore. We get infotainment. The infotainment is tailored to the audience. Fact checking is a lost art. If you want to see what a news program used to look like check out Al Jazeera in America on cable.

Well, if you want fact checking news, there's the internet for that. TV media responded to a demand. If we want just the details, we just log onto our computers or smartphones. That's just what we demanded as a society, and I am ok with that

Even that doesn't work. The only way to get a clear picture of what's going on is listen to and read everything you can. The truth will be buried somewhere in the middle of all the noise. And always be aware the government is like a magician saying look over here, when all the action is going on over there.
