Don't know about this one, but I'll never vote for this man so- don't really care. babies of Americans can be born in Mars,,, they are not aliens-- by law they are American citizens if the are registered by the parent/s. end of story
It doesn't matter if Cruz's father was not a US citizen, his mother was. Do you realize who is in office now? His name is Obama. Do you realize that Obama's mother was a US citizen but his father was not? What point are you trying to make by (falsely) stating that Cruz is not eligible for POTUS when Obama had the very same circumstances as far as parents and their citizenship?
Slight difference. As of 1960, Hawaii was part of the USA; Canada was not.
On what, do you put your place of birth? Place of residence yes, citizen of what country, yes, but I don't know of anything or not much where I have had to list my place of birth.
BTW, according to the law, apparently he is eligible to run for President, but will he? WHo knows. I think too many are jumping the gun. Has he made any announcements about his intentions?
Passport applications, voter registrations, college apps...

And birthright citizenship needs to be reinterpreted as the writer's of the 14 Amendment intended. They did not intend for children of illegal aliens (both parents) be granted birthright citizenship.

There was no such thing as Illegal alien, Anchor baby, or birthright citizenship in 1865.
Not unlike our current President. Maybe Cruz saw how well it worked for Obama and is trying to copy him.
Cruz is an azzhat and an embarrassment, but you can't condemn him while making excuses for Obama who does the same thing.

“Therefore every person born within the United States, its territories or districts, whether the parents are citizens or aliens, is a natural born citizen in the sense of the Constitution, and entitled to all the rights and privileges appertaining to that capacity.”
William Rawle, A View of the Constitution of the United States, pg. 86 (1829)
If it didn't matter with Obama then it doesn't matter with Cruz.
They are not parallel. Cruz is an official citizen of Canada, just like Arnold Schwartzenegger is an official citizen of Austria. Neither can become President if they renounce the citizenship of their birth.
Cruz would find greener fields in Canada right now than here in the States. He should take advantage of his Canadian citizenship and go into politics up there where he actually could become Prime Minister.
