Mid Terms.

2010 brought us a rebuttal to the passing of the ACA. It was historical. Unlike any other in history.

Now with Nov. 2014 a year away and ACA falling on its face, this is gearing up to be one hell of a ride in the next year for the Progressives once again.

Could the Senate become Tea Party Conservative Territory?
Most humans hate hearing, "I told you so". More so than after having it shoved down their throats.

2014 is going to be good for conservatives. Many dem senators that road obama's coattails in 2008 to victory are going to be on the block. Many more dem are up for reelection than republicans. The reps are definatly going to gain seats in the senate with an outside chance of a majority.

The house with become even more conservative. Off year elections do not favor the democrats who have a hard time turning out non traditional voters.

No it's not. It'll probably be a stalemate. I can see the GOP netting 5 more seats or so, but nothing too big. Any gains the Democrats have made have been destroyed by the ACA, though.

Yep, the Tea Party showed the Democrats. They can spend their time shutting down the nation and destroying it. Like setting fire to your house with you in it at a party when you don't get what you want for dinner. Doing that would certainly be historic.

The world can watch as the nation which fought to help millions in the last world war against fascist dictators...implodes and burns because the Tea Party who claim to love Jesus decided the poor shouldn't get help with their health care. Jesus who said the way you show how you love him is how you treat the poorest and most desititute of society. Help that has shown to provide better outcomes in a cheaper way in every other developed country in the world.

In will certainly be historic when a country that was the light of the free world, that fought for liberty of millions, burns down because of a bunch of selfish *******s decide paying taxes at all to support public services we all use is a horrible affront to their liberty. Like having roads, safe food/medicine, and help for those who need it the most is the plans of satanic communists.

The Tea Party will win GOP primaries just to falter in the general election. The country isn't as conservative as conservatives believe.

There's no indication that 2014 will be a good year for Democrats. In fact that would be unlikely (highly) if you look at history and if things keep going on their present course. However, it's also far too early to make predictions in general for a midterm election.

MTA, see what happened in the liberal bastion of Alabama this election. The tea party may not do so well in primaries.

Yeah the Americans are so pumped about the Republicans, whose only objectives it seems are shutting down the government and hating Obamacare. The GOP is losing seats, theres no way around it. Voters are smart enough to realize that although Obama has been lackluster this first (fifth) year, he isnt a Republican. He isn't the obstructionist House with 9% approval, or the filibustering Senate minority, with flavor of the week superstars like Rubio and Cruz. As sad as the current state of affairs is, all Dems need to be is not Republicans. The Tea Party is the DNC's biggest campaign contributor, and will remain so as long as moderate conservatives allow the far right, Evangelicals, and bigots control their party's direction.

That is a fact...

A few things.
The GOP does extremely well when people don't vote.
Historically, the GOP does better in mid term elections.
The GOP has a lot of old people in their base.
Old people vote... a lot.

I don't think their will be a massive shift away from the GOP, but the TP is probably going to face competition from other GOP members which could unseat the GOP fringe.

OK everyone, here is how to get a feel for the November results early: Watch what happens at any town hall meetings in December and January. Before joining here, I had been a regular poster to my main occupational board, Armour Archive, and it was there in 1209 and 0110 that I posted a thread entitled : "When Constituents Attack", it was based on the many town hall occurrences where, when confronted on the lack of reading the ACA bill, dem representatives told their voters to pound sand. It was that arogance that really caused the tea party to ramp up that spring. If you see the same behavior again, then look for a rout in November.
