"Aliens Exist' Says Canada's Former Defense Minister -- Fusion.

To people who worship government, I guess a lot of people will believe this guy.

Over the weekend, Paul Hellyer, former Canadian defense minister, went on television and declared that not only do aliens exist but that they walk amongst us and are responsible for some of our modern technology. Among these tech gifts are the microchip, LED light and Kevlar vest.

The LED? Really?

Yeah..because alien existence is unthinkable and impossible.

Doesn't he know that God built the Cosmos only for humans?

What is the difference between space aliens walk among us and Jesus walked with Dinosaurs?

I think aliens exist, the universe is vast. Are there here among us? No concrete evidence and almost certainly not. I lean on saying we have never been visited by alien life.

Is it not insulting to tell people that actually invented those things that they didn't?

Hey, Nick Holonyak - that LED light, you didn't build that! Aliens did.

Eh...I REALLY don't think Mr Holonyak cares all that much.

I would not be at all surprised to find that various governments around the world have known of the existence of extra-terrestrials for many years. I would not be surprised to find that "Men In Black" was actually a documentary.
Then again, I would not be a bit surprised to find that it is all foolishness.
But, in a larger sense, considering the number of stars we can see, and the number that likely have planets, and the number of those planets that are in the "life as we know it" zone (completely disregarding the "life as we cannot imagine" theory), to think that we are alone in the universe is, to me, ridiculous.

How is believing in aliens any different than believing in god? Personally, I think both are ridiculous.

As laughable as it sounds, this is actually what other UFO investigators like David Ickle have been saying for years. That aliens can "hide" among us and that they can arrive and depart via some sort of teleportation device or worm hole in various parts of the world. So either this guy has been reading too many UFO sites and books, or he has just confirmed some of the wildest rumors regarding UFOs. Honestly, while I believe in ETs, I though many of these stories were beyond insane.
