That depends on if the rest of the facts in the case stayed the same. If Trayvon still attacked George then no, I would not support his defense. If George had punched Trayvon in the nose and was on top of him beating him yes, I would support his defense.
SYG has nothing to do with the Zimmerman/Martin case.
