Why does the employer subsidies his/her employee's insurance?

Yeah right! Walmart health plan is just one more way for Walmart to rape their employees while Obamacare is just a scam for the government to get more information out of gullible Americans.

Make sure you use tin. Aluminum is not as effective.

One of the most despicable things about this whole debate is how a whole industry has been lied about, castigated and abused with the most ridiculous and obvious lies. The one swallowed by Djboutit seems to be believed by about 99.9% of Obamacare supporters, and it is a total fabrication.

Now, speaking of my own situation, here is a way to start out a true sentence with the phrase "ACA is the only health insurance where you:"

**ACA is the only health insurance where you have to pay 50% of the bill even after you absorb the biggest deductible you've ever had in your life--even for in-network providers.

I wish all the koolaid drinkers would wake up and start working on sensible reforms of the reform. It is inevitable, sooner or later, and the longer it is put off the more people will suffer from it.

Varies by income. I doubt Wal Mart can match my retired cousins $0 expense per month for his wife, now covered by Obamacare. For the best plan offered, to boot!

To attract quality employees for skilled positions/professions.

I know the unsubsidized cost of the policy I obtained under the ACA would have been more than five times higher than it became once my subsidy was calculated in. The article is disingenuous to say the least.

Low premiums are not the only distinguishing feature of the Walmart plan. The retailer's employees can use eight of the country's most prestigious medical facilities, including the Mayo Clinic, Pennsylvania's Geisinger Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic.
Not ALL customers using ACA get it subsidized.

The do however get to use clinics and hospitals that may have care not up to the bar set by those subsidized by the Walmart health Plan.

I believe you mean "not all people who use healthcare.gov get subsidized". The Walmart plan is ACA compliant with the employer picking up most of the bill. Note that this Walmart plan only covers full time employees. The majority of Walmart employees are part time. A friend works at Pizza Hut - there are mandatory health plan deductions for full time employees but few employees ever get full time hours. It's this pool of uninsured workers that subsidies at the healthcare.gov site are aimed at.

Just because your cousin isn't having to pay doesn't make it free. The taxpayers are still paying the full cost of the plan.
