We have spent the money ;its more a case of those individuals.not learning in school and often dropping out. you can't take a person to education and training whter and make them drink. We have learned that just throwing money at problem doesn't work as we spend much more than ever. The fact that people come here not speaking English and succeed shows a willingness problem. Reich is a tax and spend liberal always seeing throwing more money as solution. In a free country its the individuals that need to make education their priority. Many do but some just hangout.

Stop blaming the Repubs. The Dems had their chance for 2 years and didn't lift a finger.

SS is like SNAP…"Supplemental" to YOUR OWN MONEY.
Conveniently ignoring that Republicans are actively resisting raising the minimum wage.....and that all it takes is a fillibuster to stop it.

And while you can "say" its supplemental you arent addressing the REALITY of it.

Seriously, deal with REALITY.

The US spends the most per student in education among all first world countries..about $15K per student.
But 40% of that education money goes to SPED and Poverty programs inside the schools.

No I'm not ignoring it. You pointed it out and I was just reminding you that the Dems had control and did nothing about it either.

YOUR TEAM doesn't care either.

The reality is that America is in a decline and everyone is looking to the government to subsidize their lifestyle so they don't have to change. That is the reality.

Please. Your argument that raising the minimum wage while deep i a recession would have worked?

Seriously?

One thing stood out in the article above all else: 43% of firms expect to hire some permanent staff out of their temporary pool. That remains an excellent way for unemployed folks to get hired-you can be sure you are never a 43% shot at being hired at any permanent job opening.
but our pool of demanding, whiny, unskilled workers marching for skilled wages... is quite healthy

Like Reagan said: Put the government in charge of anything and you can guarantee there will be a shortage.

They've run our school system into the ground, and it isn't for a lack of per student spending.

Millions in America want creationism taught as science. Bass ackwards fundamentalism - it isn't just for suicide bombers.
