There is absolutely no evidence of socialism coming to the US. Not now and not in the future. This isn't the Cold War anymore. The "S" word has been thrown around so casually by the right that no one is "scared" of it anymore. Anybody with one lick of common sense knows that the government is not out to nationalize the entire economy of the US, fire all the CEOs, and fly hammers and sickles everywhere.

Maybe people would take you neo-Confederates a tiny bit more seriously if you knew the definitions of the words you use so often

Perhaps not as a whole, but the United States has implemented socialistic policies for decades, some of which many people profess would be "anti-American" to do away with.

Unfortunately, it's not, but we could really benefit from it in the age of globalization and automation.

Pronunciation: \ˈsō-shə-ˌli-zəm\Function: noun Date: 1837 1 : any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

How so? Do you know the difference between communism, socialism, and social democracy? Socialism is incompatible with capitalism, and capitalism in the US is very much alive and well.

Socialism -> a way of organizing a society in which major industries are owned and controlled by the government rather than by individual people and companies.

Think Obamacare

Which direction is Obama pushing the country? So far, I see nothing going on that is indicative of socialism as defined by international politics, as opposed to the Fox News definition.

Think Obamacare
Then Obamacare doesn't fall under socialism. Try again, petch. You just contradicted yourself

Obama is a unique breed of socialist. He is a hybrid socialist-Marxist-Fascist -> Crony Socialist.

No, they don't know. They can come up with the correct definition for this topic only, contradict themselves, and then tomorrow they'll all forget what socialism really means and go with the Fox News version which is anything left of anarcho-capitalism
