Why didn't they just raise their merchandise prices, and go out of business, instead?

Or done it the new "American Way", and demanded government subsidies and bailouts?

Point one, they are in business to make money and two, they are not staffed by liberals.

They don't need to raise their prices, they made $3 billion in profits last year.

The high cost of their new Obamacare Insurance must be a large concern.

Cut part timers back below 29 hours and drop their insurance. No wonder food stamp use is at a record high.

Sitting around whining about how much someone else makes doesn't fix anything. It just makes nere'do'wells look silly.

From Target's announcement:

Will Target be limiting hours to team members as a result of the change in benefits?

No. At any time, our team members can talk to their manager about their interest and availability to work more hours. In fact, during the holiday season we offered our year-round part time and full time team members the opportunity to take on additional hours or cross-train to work in other areas — at their request.
