Be angry with Ike, the Dulles Brothers, Kennedy, LBJ, Nixon, McNamara, and the dumb generals that didn't tell the politicians that it wasn't winnable.

BTW...don't start with that crap about how we won every battle, blah blah, blah, because that's a bunch of garbage and is meaningless.
How long are you guys going to try to put Viet Nam in the ignore category?

Fonda encouraged the enemy to continue to fight and offered public support. Do you truly think that no one died as a consequence of her actions?

BTW, except in your imagination, how do you know how veterans feel about the list of names you provided? Try starting a separate thread to find out, don't just make up stuff to match your bias.

As for meaningless, that would be your opinions of something that you did not participate in.

This was not a "look back"!

BTW, my husband fought in Vietnam Nam and thought she looked better than Bob Hope.

Folks on the home front did not welcome the troops back home. Jane was mild compared to the general public who had a nasty habit of spitting on a man in uniform.

Families with the means tended to make sure their draft age sons went to college and grad school to avoid the draft. When all else failed there was Canada or maybe a mission in Paris.
For the record, there`s no evidence that any vet was spit on. They made themselves look bad spewing that nonsense.

Kinda like what Mrs. Obama and Mrs. Biden are doing.

Fighting for veteran rights as their husbands look for ways to cut veteran benefits?

Oh yeah, they are sincere.

The country also forgot about the Korean War vets but those men didn`t spend the next 4 decades whining and fabricating stories about saliva raining down on them.
