Not only are people forced into buying insurance, almost everyone on insurance will have to pay a Republicare Tax. You gotta love Republicans. They finally figured out health insurance wasnt free..except for their base.

Wait, I thought the point of Obamacare opposition was because of socialism or some other made up garbage? So in reality, they have no problem with the mandate, but only have a problem when a Democrat wants it? So, in other words, Republicans just talk out of their rear end

No they don't force you to buy insurance.....just if you ever dont have insurance for a day you're hosed and can be abused by the companies.....basically its a horrible horrible plan.

And they want to re-implement the pre-existing condition clause. NOPE! Not gonna happen!

only a sucker, or a comrade obama lover, would believe everything they read.
Republicans have a great plan, and what you posted isn't it...

The trial balloon plan floated recently does on the whole bluntly suck, but it does have its good points (not enough to make it a good or even mediocre idea on the whole, but some). One of those is that it effectively lets consumers opt in or out to the mandate/pre-existing condition clauses.

You can maintain constant coverage, in which case you can't be discriminated against for pre-existing conditions, or you can drop your coverage without paying a penalty, but then if you do develop a pre-existing condition you can be charged for it. It's a really good design that lets people choose whether they want a pre-ACA or post-ACA insurance scheme for themselves without causing an adverse selection process like the current ACA without the mandates would. Too bad so many of the other things in the plan are so bad.

The fact that there is a republican plan illustrates how little difference there is between the parties.

I think you just hit a single or maybe double. The fact is health care in America is very expensive and you cant turn this ship around in one year. The Republican plan to tax everyone or force them on to a bronze level plan is interesting. Interesting to see if insurance companies will support it. Any plan that doctors, hospitals, and pharmaceuticals dont like is worth looking at.
