Nobody has walked to the North American continent in the last 12,000 years. The Bering Sea land bridge was gone by then. Furthermore, those that inhabited the North American continent when the land bridge was still available died out 12,900 years ago with the mega-fauna.
So whether they were originally Asian or European, they did not arrive on the North American continent via the land bridge.
