Companies that have 100 or more full-time workers, defined as employees who work more than 30 hours per week, still will have to begin complying with the mandate to offer such coverage in 2015 or face financial penalties of at least $2,000 and up to $3,000 per worker.

Officials said that any business claiming they are eligible for the new one-year delay because they have fewer than 100 workers must certify, under penalty of perjury, that it had not reduced its workforce merely to qualify for that exemption."
Partially incorrect. Employers can lay off employees as long as ACA is not the reason.

Think about it for a while.

Right. It's just refusing to stop threatening them if they don't play ball.

Just like the Founding Fathers intended all along.

We have a regulated economy that is just getting more regulated with every swipe of a pen.
Will he follow in other country's steps and dictate when companies can have sales and how much off they can have or dictate working hours ?

Why not just take them all over ?

What's the problem exactly? These companies get a delay as long as they don't lower their workforce. If they do, no delay for them. Seems pretty straight forward to me.

This should concern people greatly.

Here's the new rule:

To be eligible for the additional delay, the Obama administration says an employer “may not reduce the size of its workforce or the overall hours of service of its employees” unless it can justify those reductions to the Internal Revenue Service.

You mean when people like myself suggested businesses would change their strategies in regards to new ACA standards, we not only were correct, but now we must punish companies for doing what we said they'd do anyways?

Tell me why if I had a company with 100 employees, YOU should be able to dictate that I cant lower my staff down to 99 employees

The next thing to happen is large corporations will begin to divide into a bunch of smaller corporations to bypass the employee numbers. Mark my word, because NO ONE just faces legislation and dont react, just like the recent CBO report which says people will reduce their hours of work.

A complete idiot wouldnt look at how laws and tax codes affect them and just continue status quo

How is it a punishment? Delaying is a favor to them. Not delaying is putting into effect what was going to be put into effect in the first place.

Incorrect. They can lay off employees for any reason. But if they lay off employees in 2014 with the sole purpose of getting below the 100 employee cutoff then they don't get the 1 year employer mandate extension.
