Texas can decide it's own marriage definition under the 10th Amendment.
This will be decided by SCOTUS initially. But if SCOTUS rules against the people of the State of Texas, and Texas doesn't comply, what happens next? The gun owners of Connecticut have chosen not to comply with that state's unconstitutional gun registration law. What happens next? Power is in the people if they have the courage to stand up to tyranny.
Too bad fundamental rights are a 14th amendment issue and not a 10th amendment issue.
Ted Cruz can be the Prince of Politics or the King of Statesmen..and shine a 1000 lights of truth on everything he wishes...
But the fact remains any law he writes that is deeded unsconstituion is not worth the light pen it was written with.
You and those like you grossly misinterpret the Constitution and the definition of "rights." I will oppose people like you for the rest of my life, and pray that you and your kind are one day defeated. I will do everything in my power to expose your evil for what it is. "I have a pen" too. And I can write.
And it will fall just like all of the rest of them are falling. States can not pass unconstitutional laws.
Never mind this is DOMA part 2, it will fall just like DOMA 1 fell. The USSC already ruled on this issue at the federal level.
Marriage is and always will be between a man and a woman, not a man and another man, nor a woman and another woman. That kind of perversion is pure evil, and one day you will be held accountable. Perhaps soon.
I guess some people are bound and determined to be on the wrong side of history.
The train has left the station. If he wants to sound like Strom Thurmond in 1964, be my guest. He couldn't stop the inevitable either with his "states rights" nonsense.
Standing up against evil is never a waste of time.

Again...I dont have any power to effect the meaning of the constitution. The Constitution and the courts handle that for me.
..."I will do everything in my power to expose your evil for what it is."
You wanna compare a congressional backbencher to the president...be my guest.
It's pretty delusional though.
Delusional? Funny how libs call anyone that disagrees with their peculiar point of view as mentaly unstable. Predictable though. BTW Cruz is a Senator, not a Congressman and he is hardly a "backbencher" like your hero Obama was.
This is something I do support however its unlikely to pass as the House and Senate is majority controlled by Democrats.
Wether you support gay marriage or not, using corrupt activist judges to violate the will of the people to get what you want is wrong. Its only a matter of time before these same judges decide to go after something that you believe in.
Its also a matter of time before these states push back. Its going to be interesting.
