There is ZERO chance that Obama did not know Debo Adegbile's background - he is a 'hero' in some quarters and one of those is Obama's corner. Obama started out by wanting to promote Adegbile to a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (often a farm team for a Supreme Court appointment). He asked the American Bar Association to evaluate his credentials last October - we have no idea what their evaluation was, but Obama decided to offer his up for DOJ Civil Rights Director and that was sent to the Senate last November. The Senate sent it back to Obama on January 3, 2014 and Obama kicked it right back to the Senate 3 days later.

I don't know that this is 'over' - Obama is not "Tone Deaf". The ABA rejected this dude, the Senate has now rejected his twice and Obama is livid. He calls this a "travesty".

Debo Adegbile is a Radical, he didn't just present a 'defense' for this murderer - he organized protests here and abroad, he turned it all into a Dog and Pony show. ZERO chance that Obama and Holder did not know that ..... they wanted this Radical to head up the Civil Rights Division of the US Department of Justice in the worst way. That's 7 Brave Democrats that voted against him.

Interesting that MSNBC is ticked at Harry Reid for forcing Democrats to take this "tough vote" .... nothing at all about why it's a "tough vote". The Democrats who actually voted for him will have it come back to haunt them.

Funny that John Roberts was appointed to the supreme court but this appointee was denied.

Representing murderers hasn’t proved disqualifying before –
Republicans confirmed John Roberts as chief justice of the Supreme Court despite his pro-bono work on behalf of a man recently executed for mass murder. When they choose to, Republicans understand that an attorney shouldn’t be identified with his client’s cause. That would prevent top
lawyers from defending unpopular clients, which would erode the quality of justice for those accused of terrible crimes.

So funny ...... the push back from the Far Left is so predictable.

BUT, BUT, BUT --- John Roberts defended a murderer. (whine, whine, whine)

Yes he did, actually a lot of trial lawyers represent murderers - Roberts did some pro-bono work.
Debo Adegbile worked for the NAACP.

The problem arises when the legal representation morphs into Political Activism.
Adegbile organized and led protests and rallies ...... Roberts just showed up in court.
Adegbile wanted his case tried in the Court of the Street ...... Roberts still believes in Law and the Courts.

But expect a lot more of "blame" heaped on U.S. Supreme Court Justice, John Roberts.
It's all they've got and it's real embarrassing that they couldn't Cram this Radical down the throats of the Senate.

The fact that he participated in protests might be a fair reason but I would never accuse congressmen of thinking very deeply beyond what is required for reelection. Pro-bono work is voluntary as are protests, Adegbile didn't choose this case it chose him.

Working for the NAACP shouldn't eliminate anyone nor should defending a murderer, the issue is that this would be used over and over in the next election, that is why both parties voted against his nomination.
