I think, that maybe the only way to stop it, is increase the severity of the punishment.


If it were on the contrary, "two white teens, beat to death a black man" I have no doubt that it would be declared hate crime, there were demonstrations, riots, full massmedia 24/7 coverage of the crime...

If we must persist in this silliness of prosecuting crimes differently based on how the perpetrator felt about the victim, then yes they should be considered hate crimes if it can be shown that the victims were chosen because of their race.

However, an a$$-whooping doesn't hurt any less because the assailant was not motivated by hate.

only if it can be proven it was motivated by hate. Just because the aggressors are one race and the victim is another does not make it a hate crime.

I think 'knockout' behavior would be best preempted via 'sting' type ops by local police. Simply have undercover types as typical 'glow faces' on their device and have them equipped with surround visuals and apparel made by D3o impact gel. When someone makes an attempt to knock out the individual - no subduing needed - perp initiates assault - undercover patrol kills them (however they find most expedient). Watch the 'problem' end quickly when enough are disposed of properly.

For those who don't like the immediacy of judgment, my alternate suggestion is to bring back the public stockades for these type offenses against the community. When night falls if the family of those hurt / injured want to save the taxpayer money from incarceration. So be it. These are types of crimes there should be absolutely no tolerance from the community. Put them down, they know what they are doing. And for any who cry racism, it is simple, don't randomly assault people for no reason and consider it a fun game.

It's like calling Orkin for pest control. It's good for culling the human herd of the non contributing elements.

Problem is the penal legal industry wouldn't like it, because it's not really about 'protecting and serving' its more about preserving their jobs. The politicians and bureaucrat types wouldn't like it because they wouldn't be able to waste more productive taxpayers money on programs and reform measures. Yet, these are generally the same people saying there are too many people in the world (unless they can be assured of voting for them!).
