Except for the hundreds of thousands who are now unemployed due to their labor unions forcing their employers out of business.

Have you noticed the hundreds of thousands who are unemployed due to layoffs as executive compensation has increased exponentially? Selective outrage?

No it's not. Unions have long been part of our nation's history, fighting for better pay, safer working conditions, health care and retirement benefits, education and civic participation. Unions have brought diverse voices together, and their struggles have elevated the working conditions, the standard of living and the recognition of not just their members, but of all who labor. Where is your proof that most people don't hate them? Hypocrite much?

Most people probably don't 'hate' unions, hating everything they disagree with seems to be a liberal trait, but the vast majority don't like unions and don't want to be part of a union as can clearly be seen by the drastic decline in union membership and how unions get the boot when it's put to a vote and people choose to join or not.

If this is true, then I can only conclude that most people are stupid.

Burden of proof is on the person making the claim.

You can't prove a negative.

Hundreds of thousands are unemployed because of executive compensation? Although some execs are massively overpaid, unless you can show their pay caused the recession and the mortgage meltdown - your post is hogwash.

Unionization created the middle-class. Prior to labor unions most workers labored under extreme temperatures, in filthy environments, for long hours, at low wages. Meanwhile owners, stockholders, and top brass, smoked cigars in luxury high-rises, and enjoyed long vacations in exotic locales. A foundry workers had little chance of saving for a future or free-time to seek better opportunities. Unionization changed that and created a working environment that allowed for the growth and development of the middle-class. Despite what you may have been told unions have been good for America.
