Pointing out that someone watches gay porn is not bigoted. Weird that you think that.

It's based on stereotypes, I was guilty of that myself until I went to the south and fell in love with parts of it. Although I have no desire to ever see Texas or Oklahoma.
Why? Texas is more "progressive" than the Deep South and has far more to see. I just don't get why people who have never been to my state feel so strongly about their dislike of it.

It's all regionalism prejudice. It definitely affects people from the South, but it affects people from the Northeast, the Midwest, and the West as well. Certain states and/or cities have negative connotations.

Let's put it this way - in most of our daily lives, we interact with a variety of people of various genders, races, ethnic groups, religions, sexual orientations, economic statuses, etc. But most of them are still locals that share many common experiences. So regionalism prejudice never gets called out, but it's just as ugly as all other types of prejudice.

Okay, where is this article?

It is showing where things are legal. Why is that bigoted?

There is a motive...to show reality.

Agreed, I can't even imagine what it would be like to live in West Virginia and basically have to hear jokes about incest from basically anyone not from West Virginia. I really only hear stuff from people that are pretty much Northeastern, but EVERYONE makes fun of West Virginians.

Why? Because the scenery is far too boring?

To point out the hypocrisy of Bible thumping conservatives demonizing gay people.

Parts of TX and, yes, even OK are absolutely beautiful. Some people don't realize that.

TX has part of the Chihuahuan Desert plus part of the Rockies (no one seems to think about this), the Hill Country, a coast, forest land, tons of lakes, etc. The majority of TX is NOT flat plains. Plus we have more than 25 million people with booming cities.

Could it be because Mississippi usually ranks at or near no. 50 in quality of life statistics with other Southern states falling next in line?
