Yes. The government employing actual doctors and research scientists is much better equipped to establish what is safe and what is not than an average citizen.

Would that work? I think not!!!!! Heck studies can't even tell us how much of this or that we need. Today it is one thing and tomorrow something else.

That's only because our government has to deal with pressure from lobbyists. There are governments that do much better job in protecting the consumer than ours.

Its funny and creepy at the same time that people look to governments to tell them whats okay to ingest.

Good to see you admit the failure of regulation. There is no such thing as a pure government.

Failure of regulation? Do you propose we abolish vehicular traffic laws just because they fail to prevent accidents? You spewing nonsense based on some gibberish about "pure governments" and their existence.

The American government was forced to force food producers to add nutrients to their food products, because all of the nutrients were removed in the processing of said food products, which made the foods, non-foods.

How can the government administer food if it doesn't meet the definitional content of food?

Wonder Bread was forced to put wood chips in their bread to satisfy the definitional food requirement of bread as having to contain SOME fiber.

The FDA has kept the Minimum Daily Requirement for human nutrition lower than healthy so that processed food manufactures could survive.

What's sold now is not a food or a drug, so the FDA has no jurisdiction.

That the FDA, in cohoots with Agenda 21, wants to limit nutritional supplements to augment the crap made and sold as food, is criminal slow genocide, but the pharm animals are getting rich on the side effects.

Pharmaceutical companies have an unholy alliance with food producers.

Hell, pharmaceutical companies ARE the "food" producers!

Foods shouldn't be enriched with any vitamins! If I want vitamins I'll take them myself and in the form that I chose. I don't need food companies deciding what vitamins I should take. Vitamins are not harmless solutions to health problem, you can't take vitamins just because you feel like it.

That's why most American supermarket food is a joke and many people chose to pay extra for Whoke Foods and other conscientious retailers.

Food is enriched just enough to qualify the product as food, so that it can be regulated safe from overdosage of nutrition.
