It’s time for Representative Mike Rogers to resign as the head of the House Intelligence Committee. He made a total fool of himself when he suggested that NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden was a Russian spy only to have his spurious McCarthy-like accusation rejected by the FBI. Since that didn’t work, pathological liar Rep. Rogers has resorted to an ill-advised campaign to criminalize journalism by calling Glenn Greenwald a thief who is fencing stolen goods. Mike Rogers has already made a mockery of the Fourth Amendment by allowing the NSA to run amok but his latest crime is even more egregious. Mr. Rogers is now attempting to reinterpret the First Amendment himself which is something that citizens of good conscience can not sit idly by and allow to happen. It is time for Mike Roger to step down and recuse himself of a position he is clearly not morally qualified to hold.

Unfortunately, we cannot even trust the FBI on these things.

Look, the McCarthy era us over, and therefore claims of "McCarthyism." There are some truths in this world, and one of them is that communists are still communists, they still exist, and they still work against the United States. I think any claim that Snowden was a spy are completely valid, and ought to be taken seriously, not just lightly brushed off as coming from a "McCarthyite." There has to have been a motive for his treason.

Besides, McCarthy was not wrong. The Democrats did then what they do now. They run smear campaigns against anyone they view as a threat.

.

There clearly was reasons. One was the continual lies from government officials and more important, the Constitution.

Edward Snowden's actions are not treason; In fact, quite the contrary as he - unlike failed former FBI agent Mike Rogers - upheld his oath to the Constitution.

nononsenseguy: Please share with me your theory on why we should believe proven liar and NSA shill Rep. Mike Rogers over the FBI?

Eric holder should resign for judge shopping and charging false claims against Rosen to get a warrant issued.

The other pathological liar of course would be Obama and your suggestion he should resign is to be applauded. Not a strong case when standards are not meted out with blind justice....seems politically motivated and gets discounted.

Default Save the First Amendement

Sounds like there may now be another NSA whistleblower other than just Edward Snowden. No wonder Mike Rogers is getting so desperate. In this video journalist Glenn Greenwald challenges Rep. Rogers' ridiculous and completely unfounded accusations.

Mike Rogers to retire, heading to radio - John Bresnahan and Jake Sherman - POLITICO.com

Quote:
Michigan Rep. Mike Rogers is not seeking reelection to Congress, ending a 14-year career in Washington.

Rogers, the 50-year-old chairman of the Intelligence Committee, will join Cumulus, the talk radio company.
Good riddance!

Another win for Edward Snowden.
