According to a recent poll in Le Point, half of all young adults in France would leave the country if they could because the future looks so bleak.
It's pretty tough to be successful in France when it's president says he doesn't like rich people and where the taxes keep going higher and higher.
Too bad the liberals don't see this consequence here in the US.
This would apply if the French people aspired to be rich. That's not the case, it's really only Americans that dream, "You, too, can be a millionaire" when it's not true. French are more realistic
15-29 group is seeing the biggest chunk of emigration.
29 and over are stuck with high mortgages and negative equity keeping them tied to the country.
The youth can go to any other EU country to live and work.
Where are they emigrating to? Until a few years ago, I would have said that they should come here to the U.S. But now, we seem hell-bent on recreating the taxing, spending, and over-regulating that is driving those folks out of their home countries. So where, now, do young entrepreneurs want to go?

All polls are designed to represent a larger population. I would assume that this poll chose its respondents to be as representative as possible of France's overall young-adult population.

It is not that they are more realistic because there is a reality in America that allows some people to actually achieve wealth. Their view on how to live is just different.
Generally speaking now Europeans, compared to Americans prefer to enjoy food, family and vacation time over McMansions and luxury items. Europeans do not get caught up in Keeping up with the Jones' while Americans have to make sure they fit in with their neighbors and have all the "best" material items.
I prefer the European style in this sense. Work enough to have more time with family then your job, enjoy some good foods, travel occasionally and enjoy vacation time.
They can't understand why someone might not aspire to leechery there.
