Again if you are going to discuss statistics you need to understand what those statistics represent, why would you purposely be ignorant of how you arrive at the high murder rate?
When comparing crime rates amongst different countries, I wouldn't take race into consideration, only a racist would.

Nope, just a bunch middle class white people most of whom grew up around firearms. Note I said immediate area. Both of the last two places I've lived had never had murders in my lifetime, popualtion is about 5K for each.
The county I live in is almost entirely white with 300K, the murder rate for the counties white population is about 2 or 3. The murder rate for the very small population of blacks is somewhere near 200 which even makes the national averages look good. Most of the black population that lives here are low income originally from NYC or Philly and we have seen a steady influx.

Demographics always play a big part, and most young blacks not having a father at home is the biggest single factor in the proliferation of gangs and gang violence.
