Well of course you would think that. God forbid we actually put an ideology into play in this country that actually practices fiscal responsibility. Both parties as far as I'm concerned spend like drunken sailors.

With the Federal Reserve... How much paper is your life worth?
Our paper money is based on your worth to the world, nothing else.

END THE FED!

You need to understand the Tea Party does not portend "American Style" Libertarianism.

It's a great scheme isn't it? Divide and conquer, and the sheep follow along blindly without question. Well one thing is for sure. They're both united in fear and in hatred for libertarians. That is evident from the lies, misconceptions and ASSumptions that both sides spew about libertarianism.

Then you have brainwashed drones like artisan ignorantly pummeling third parties with different ideas on how government should operate. They over and over again vote Democrat or Republican and wonder why Government continues in its degradation.

What are We The People going to do about the cause, instead of the Government directing us to fight over the symptoms, they create.

Since the OP has clearly no idea what libertarianism is, I offer the following link to help educate if being less ignorant is an actual goal: Libertarianism.org | Exploring the theory and history of liberty

Nice portal to all things libertarian, and a fine place to begin learning what exactly makes up this whacko philosophy of individual liberty, natural rights and other mind bending concepts about freedom.

I assume that in calling it a whacko philosophy you're being sarcastic?
