Again, this topic is about welfare. welfare needs reform, wouldn't you agree?
Reform, perhaps. Enforcement, most definitely. Enforcement does cost, however. Quite a bit, I'm sure. I don't have the numbers, but it is certainly possible that enforcing welfare law would be less cost effective than allowing the abuse. The best answer, IMO, is to promote higher wages for workers. If Republicans would stop demonizing unions - the only voice workers have - maybe we could raise the standard of living for all of us. Virtually all the union members I know are conservative, BTW, and most of them support Democrats. Your average, everyday union member (that I've known) is not a flaming liberal, but they vote for Democrats because Democrats at least give the impression of support for our cause. If Republicans pulled their noses out of fat-cats asses, and showed support for the common man, they'd win every election, IMO, of course.
I have no ideal how someone can get 7,000? The most given in any month of foodstamps for individual is Hawai'i at 300.00 mth. But like i said that is nothing compaired to walmarts total revenue was $129.7 billion, Walmart's labor costs amounts to about 1 percent of the company's annual sales per million employees.

I am a young generation of Republican in my 20s, but I won't vote for a Republican just because.. But so far, I cannot see myself being a Democrat Hope this is acceptable.
I doubt anyone supports abuse. I also doubt poor girls dream of growing up to become welfare queens. There's something wrong with the system, alright. The entire system, not just welfare. If we continue to allow multinational corporations to dictate the economy, we will continue to see a need for food stamps. If the Democrats started acting on their promises, and if the Republicans stopped spreading fear, maybe we could see each other as countrymen, not enemies. What this country needs is a populist uprising. That would scare the hell out of politicians, but it won't happen as long as they're successful in dividing us along political lines.
It not that i don't get it, i do and agree to welfare reform. Its just we are not talking welfare reform if we don't recognise corporate welfare as that.

I'm an old fart, and my advice would be to strip yourself of any and all labels. See yourself as lilyflower, nothing more, nothing less. Labels are a divisive tool, used by the powerful to divide us.
There is nothing wrong with supporting a party, but it appears you are independent minded. That is a gift that should be nurtured.
