...and the universities should make it harder for these dumb bunnies to be admitted. Politicians are talking about sending MORE kids to college? How about making it harder to get in?
All they had to do was name one US senator...they didn't even have to name their own. One knew there are 100 senators but when asked how many each state had, apparently couldn't do the math. American University is in DC.
I know I'm going to see posts where the poster says, "They edited out everyone who got it right." That may be so but the idea that there are ANY students in college unable to name one US senator...

Who is making the profit on student loans?
The more loans made the more revenue for the government(can't file bankruptcy and eliminate a federal debt)
Soon, they will be forcing everyone to go to college and getting hit with a student loan bill as another form of taxing.
I know adults who know nothing about their political leaders or about their government, local, state, or national. It's not because they are stupid or uneducated, but because they don't give a damn.
There are people who disengage themselves from their communities.
Besides, politicians can lead kids to college, but they can't make them enroll.
Why would they sue the high schools? The parents have only themselves to blame. High school doesn't typically teach these sorts of things. Even in AP government, we only briefly mentioned who our senators and congressmen were - not something many who did not already have an interest would retain. The focus was more on the process than the individual players at that time.
I wouldn't have known in high school. I suspect most people don't pay attention till it becomes personal.
As I attended high school in the Washington, D.C. area (Fairfax County), I was acutely aware of the Federal Government and the various states' Senators and Representatives. Capitol Hill/White House follies were highlighted on local news 24/7.
They don't teach who the members of congress are in school because it's not necessary to. Just like they don't go over each and every single president and what they did. Teach those that have had an impact and leave it at that.
