Even though Democrats were in the majority in both houses, they would not have been able to pass it at all, unless such large majorities of Republicans also voted to pass. Fortunately the Republicans came through and saved the bill from the defeat Democrats alone would have given it.
Democrats have always supported racism. From their founding of the KKK, to their current majority membership in it, to the majority support of racist legislation in Congress even today.
If I were a Democrat, I'd try to fake as many excuses for not associating racism with Democrats as I could, just as the leftists in this thread do. The truth is just too painful for Democrats... as usual.

So everyone in poverty is the elderly? Makes sense, there are a lot of elderly in this country that would be considered poor. I personally have no interest in kicking our elderly out onto the streets.
This is true. The Dems are the party of the Rich White people. They love their rich white Hollywood supporters. They hate poor people.

The Tea Party is a grassroots reform movement of the Republican Party with the objective to return the GOP to fiscally conservative principles.
It began in response to the big government excesses of the Republican Party during the last decade.
The Tea Party wants smaller, constitutional government, funded by lower taxes that will produce a strong economy and create jobs, and a transparent government accountable to the people which elects it.
Republicans who want to maintain the big government/big spending status quo don't support the Tea Party.
And many of them are going to pay for their stupidity in November.

You wants, likes, and interest do not matter, basic math and economics does, we can not keep standing this much, amassing on this much debt forever.
