Even more disgusting than the firing of Brendan Eich, Firefox is now attempting to censor conservative Web sites with this message:
Careful now!

This website could not be displayed by Firefox because it is not consistent with Mozilla's corporate values. May we suggest visiting another site instead?

Click anywhere to continue.
The message appears on a plain gray background. They do not "suggest" what other sites they have in mind, and I was able to view the requested site after reading their obnoxious message by clicking on the page, as directed.

This is so disgusting there are no words to describe it. This is so un-American!

I think I'm done with Firefox and anything Mozilla.

Here as well. I don't use Firefox but do use Thunderbird for email. I'll be looking at alternatives.

I totally want to know which "conservative" website it blocked. I tried the handful that I could think of off the top of my head, and had no issues.

All the most popular search engines filter their results. Believing they do not is like believing in the tooth fairy.

Blog: Firefox Expands Into Censorship Update: HOAX!)

Red State has admitted this is a hoax:
Today, users of the Firefox web browser were given a message when accessing most of our Front Page content at RedState. They were told that this site could not be displayed, because of a conflict with the values of the Mozilla corporation, and they were suggested to visit another site.
We put that message up, because we wanted to remind people that the totalitarian impulse of the Mozilla corporation is real, and if you haven’t been Made to Care yet, you will be soon.

Those messages are being displayed BY CONSERVATIVE WEBSITES THEMSELVES because they want their users to boycott Mozilla.

Blog: Firefox Expands Into Censorship Update: HOAX!) - AmericanThinker.com

"I deeply regret passing along a hoax, and am angry at Red State for publishing something that is untrue. Red State has lost my respect and any future presumption of credibility. They may also be hearing from Firefox's attorneys. This is an excellent way to scarifice a good cause in the name of sensationalism. Much though I hate it, I must hereby apologize to Firefox, and I blame Red State.

Sorry, it did happen and I'll give you the example. But first you can read about it here: Blog: Firefox Expands Into Censorship Update: HOAX!)

This article shows the same image I got when I tried to go to Insert Witty "War on Women" Paycheck Fairness Reference Here | RedState

This is so egregious there are no words for it.
