Funny how you don't bring up the master bully of this country, Obama. Always trying to make everything partisan. So sad really. Quit the whining.

Lol. I'd like to be able to agree with that, but it's simply not possible. People of all political persuasions exercise their "right to be rude."

I was tall and skinny as a kid, and we also moved frequently. The new kid in school, regardless of size or appearance, is always a target for everyone else. That is until the new kid asserts themselves and draws a line in the sand. It never takes more than one or two people who cross that line before they get the message and that target removed. It also does not matter if one wins or loses. Just the fact that you are willing to stand up for yourself is enough to have that target removed. Bullies always choose the easiest targets. Those with low self-esteem, who will not defend themselves even when provoked.

Yeah, but they call it an anti-bullying law, so you can't appose it (regardless of what the law actually does) unless you support bullying.

Today that is true. However, if the law being proposed in New Jersey is enacted, that will no longer be the case. Any one who disagrees with a liberal will automatically be marked as a bully and punished accordingly.

Since when do fourth graders enjoy the full force of the First Amendment in public schools? Even school newspapers can be censored under the law. This case is a classic McDonalds hot coffee case. They take a fringe case, twist the facts, and make it look like the entire law is ridiculous so they can garner support to have it declared unconstitutional. A law, by the way, that was signed by Republican Governor Chris Christie. This is not just New Jersey, ultra conservatives are fighting anti-bullying laws all over the country:

This has nothing to do with New Jersey's anti-bullying laws; it is a crusade by some of the right to roll back laws that are designed to prevent suicides, columbines, severe depression and an overall unhappy childhood.

It's not a fringe case, and nothing is being twisted. Using this law, we got this result. A fourth grader being charged with bullying for making a truthful statement. A silly result. A child was punished for doing something most sane reasonable people will agree was not in any way an act of bullying. Since this law not only allows but CAUSES this result, the law must be changed, so that it can't unfairly punish others. Why would you be opposed to fixing this ridiculous law?

And how are those laws working out on those endpoints? Not so hot, huh?

With liberals the results do not matter as long as the intent was good.
