What outrage are you looking for? I think net worth should be taxed so that the wealthy can't just cook the books to look like they made no money and are equal to the working poor.
Why not just eliminate income tax for everyone and increase sales tax? That way everybody pays the same rate.

Obama pays the rate the law has set for his income. He has advocated raising that level and many liberals agree, but those attempts have failed, so I am not sure what exactly you want people to be angry about.
